scrapped!

Oh my gosh!! I'm so loving how this turned out - I want to frame it!! Good thing I know a place to go!! ;) I don't particularly like the photo of me - I think my smile looks a bit supercilious, but Caitlyn's adorable. I think it needs something more - some more dimension...

Almost forgot!

Well, its all official - I'm now the Uniform Shop Manager!! :) A new career in the making ;)

Interview went well, and Judy Hopwood gave me a glowing reference which possibly caused the P&C President to wish I was on the committee rather than in the shop! Gotta love Judy - she's so involved with the local community. Glad she won her seat AND had a swing of more than 13%! Congrats Judy!

A canvas for a christening

Here's the canvas I was commissioned to do... Turned out pretty well! Pleased with the colours and balance.

Two more layouts!

Trying to get through the old photos and through my paper stash so I have an excuse to buy more!! ;)
Crazy Hair of Caitlyn at 2 after a bath

Steady Ready SIT! of Toby at 6 1/2 months (have to edit that!!)

And now I know why I've been so industrious today - I forgot to take my anti-depressant... In for a fun day tomorrow!

Toby's bump

Toby went bump yesterday - or rather Caitlyn bumped him with a stick she shouldn't have been playing with. Hysteria on her part as well as Toby's crying attracted our attention. This is the result 16 hours later:

I was ready to over-react yesterday, thinking that he might have a broken eye socket - but as you can see from the photo (and the others I took yesterday too) he's smiling! Gosh, I can't believe kids sometimes! He also spent some time rubbing his eyes at bedtime and Daz said he just wouldn't do that if he had a broken bone in there - he'd be screaming the place down. So I'm holding onto my impulse to rush to the hospital and watching and waiting. He was so good! Even held an icepack up to it intermittently - except when he said "Cold!" He's such a funny chap!

Oh, and I've scrapped - trying to scrap older photos, aim is to get through my box of "Gibbs" photos. This one goes in Toby's album.

Scrapping and the Craft fair

The craft fair went better today than last time - last time I was -$48 and this time I was only -$35. The main thing I got out of today was the number of people asking if I did classes!! So mind has been churning over; sign up sheet next time, and some research into a venue and some subjects!

I got some scrapping done while I was there though! :)

This photo is so precious - I wish I had one like it with all of my kids.

Using papers...

Well, I did another page today to use the papers I have for sale on my stall - hope that people actually buy some on Sunday!
Basic Grey Montifica and Sublime papers with coordinating plain cardstock. Antique brads, Grosgrain ribbons and a touch of Hessian too.

Poor old back!

Well, Anita gave me the most relaxing birthday present today!!! A Hawaiian hot-rocks massage which was heavenly! But lying on my back for a leeetle too long has given me a HUGE ache and I'm not feeling very hot now. Funny how massage can bring out more aches and pains... *sigh*

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well, after a slow start, the day heated up to include a lovely barbecue lunch done by my darling husband, some of the day spent scrapbooking, and only moderate yelling at children. No photos - no shots of my ugly mug... At home with family but without friends, sorely missed. That's about it really. Oh, four loads of washing was my birthday present to the family - now the only clothes needing washing are in the laundry! :)
